1) Twilight Phantasies - Eric & Tamara: E’ il primo romanzo della Serie Wings in the Night. Eric Marquand, un vampiro vecchio di circa 200 anni, salva la vita di Tamara Dey quando è ancora bambina, e la lascia subito dopo. Maggie Shayne's Twilight Memories re-introduces Roland de Courtemanche, a 1000-year-old vampire who first appeared in Twilight Phantasies. In this book, Roland is living in France with his young charge, Jamey Bryant, while Rhiannon, an arrogant-yet-vulnerable, beautiful, reckless 2000-year-old vampire romantically pursues him. They once again face the DPI (Department of Paranormal Investigations) and a dangerous mortal who is hunting Rhiannon. Eric and Tamara, protagonists of the previous book, also make an appearance in this book.

3) Twilight Illusions - Damien & Shannon: Guardando la performance del mago Damien Namtar, l’investigatrice privata Shannon Mallory si domanda se lui possa aver ucciso la sua migliore amica Tawny. Shannon confronts Damien with her questions and he feels obligated to protect her from Tawny's killer, suspecting she may be next. As the oldest vampire in existence, Damien leads a reclusive life and avoids contact with anyone, mortal or immortal. But he finds himself becoming more and more attracted to Shannon. Damien is not completely sure he isn't responsible for Tawny's death, but he can't admit to Shannon he's a vampire. He finally accepts the help of a much younger, but far wiser vampire who will prove Damien isn't a murderer. Shannon's tough childhood has left her suspicious of all men, but she starts caring about Damien even though she's afraid to get close to him. For the first time in her life, someone really cares about her. It seems like a cruel twist of fate that she's dying now that she's found a man she could love. It's a race against time to find Tawny's killer. A department of the CIA investigating Tawny's death knows Damien is a vampire and wants him dead. There is also a rogue vampire who wants revenge against Damien and will stop at nothing to kill him and Shannon . With the help of some other vampires, Damien and Shannon fight those who want them destroyed. But death is the most powerful force of all and Shannon will be its next victim unless Damien can do something to save her.

4) Beyond Twilight - Cuyler & Ramsey: Il senso dell’umorismo di Cuyler è così divertente mentre si sforza di vedere il lato oscuro delle cose. Lei e Ramsey (anche se lui è stato mandato per distruggerla) completano così bene le proprie personalità.

Cuyler's sense of humor was so much fun as she strived to keep from seeing the dark side of things. She and Ramsey (though he was sent to destroy her) compliment each other so well with their personalities and connection.

Fortunatamente gli amici vampiri di Jameson arrivano in tempo per trasformarlo e quando apprende dei risultati degli esperimenti del DPI si mette alla ricerca di Angelica. Sebbene lei pensi che lui sia un mostro e lui la disprezzi per aver tagliato la sua breve vita mortale devono unire le forze se vogliono salvare un altro innocente dalle grinfie diaboliche del DPI.

Too hungry to resist what Jameson offers she drinks from him and cannot stop . . . Just as she realizes she's ended this beautiful, kind man's life a DPI agent shows up. In her fear and confusion she believes him when he says he can make her mortal again. The DPI fear vampires and it is their intent to exterminate the race. In their never-ending paranoia they discover it may be possible for a newly turned vampire to become impregnated. Angelica naively becomes their guinea pig in their newest and most heartless experiment to date. Fortunately Jameson's vampire friends show up in time to transform him and when he learns of the results of the DPI's experiments he sets out to find Angelica. Although she thinks he's a monster and he despises her for cutting his mortal life short they must join forces if they are to save another innocent from the hellish clutches of the DPI.

9) Run from Twilight - Michael & Mary: Un serial killer che colpisce al chiaro di luna piena ha fatto di Mary McLean il suo prossimo obiettivo. Lei sa che dovrebbe essere cauta, ma non può stare lontana da Michael Gray, un uomo misterioso con un segreto soprannaturale. Ma lui è lì per proteggerla? O lui è il vero pericolo? Mary is being targetted by a serial killer. Michael Grey appears from nowhere, it seems, and he claims that he's protecting Mary - but is he the killer? Michael is a vampire who was mortally wounded at the height of Al Capone's `reign' in Chicago, but he was transformed at the point of death by Cuyler Jade of Beyond Twilight. The most melodramatic point of this book is when Michael's wife, Sally, shoots herself in front of him, apparently unable to reconcile herself either to his death or to his `resurrection' as a vampire. The Michael and Mary story certainly has its moments, and it was intriguing to see that the investigation organisation Mary contacts is run by Maxine, Lou and Stormy, the more likeable characters from Twilight Hunger.

10) Edge of Twilight - "Edge" & Amber Lily: Il suo nome è Edge, ed è l’ultimo di un gruppo di Immortali che sono stati cacciati e uccisi da Frank Stiles, un nemico determinato a scoprire i loro più profondi segreti.
