Spencer Kimball, widower and father to a little girl named Freddie, has just moved from New York to this same small town. Spencer is a music composer as well as the new professor at the local college. When Natasha and Spencer meet, they get off on the wrong foot, but when Natasha decides to take a college class in music history, she's surprised to find Spencer is the teacher. They embark on a relationship, but will Natasha be able to move beyond the pain of her past which still haunts her, and offer this man her heart?

Sydney's grandfather recently passed away, and the company business was given to her. However lots of problems arises within the building (electrical and hydro problems) that Sydney isn't aware of, and Mikhail confronts her in her office. Sparks fly between the two, and soon the two find themselves attracted to each other. But something with Sydney's past will not allow her to have a future with Mikhail even though she does end up loving him. Mikhail is a carpenter and a famous artist that makes sculptures out of wood.

Zack Muldoon is Nick's stepbrother, and the only family Nick has left. Two years ago, Zack returned after a stint in the Navy, and will now do whatever he needs to insure Nick doesn't get prison time. Nick is sentenced to a provisionary time period where he will live with Zack, while Rachel keeps contact with Nick, and reports on his behavior. The chemistry between Zack and Rachel is undeniable, but will problems with Nick keep them apart?

4) Convincing Alex - Un dolce tormento: Il detective Alex sta lavorando duro su un nuovo caso in cui due giovani ragazze sono state assassinate. Detective Alex is working hard on a new case where two young girls were murdered. He decides to make a visit to the part of town where he was told that one of the prostitutes knew the two girls, and was to question her. He comes across a hot "blonde" and after a few questions he arrests her. But imagine his surprise when the hot "blonde" is actually a redhead and not a prostitute but a soap-opera writer. She's Bess McNee, a bubbly and funny girl who claims to need to feel what it is like to be a character so she can write it better. Soon she puts herself up to some danger, and Alex is there to protect her. But he can't seem to fight the attraction he feels for her, and soons end up falling in love with her. Bess, as well falls in love with Alex, but she's already had three engagements before that fell apart, and it's difficult for her to convince Alex that this time around is true love. So there begins the problem, and Bess must make Alex trust in her.

5) Waiting for Nick - Sinfonia d'anime: Ci siamo già innamorati della giovane Freddie in un libro precedente della serie sulla famiglia Stanislaski e non possiamo non sorridere sulla sua cotta giovanile per il problematico Nick. In questo libro Freddie riesce a conquistare il suo uomo. Ma la conquista deve essere astuta dato che Nick continua a vederla come una ragazzina. È compito suo mostrargli che lei è una donna, e una donna che è innamorata di lui da quando era una bambina. Le scene d’amore sono tenere e dolci e quando finalmente stanno insieme, non puoi trattenere un sospiro di felicità per l’amore che è sbocciato dall’amicizia e dalle circostanze.

We already fall in love with young Freddie in earlier books of the Stanislaski family and we can't help but smile about her girlish crush to the trouble Nick. In this book Freddie gets her man. But the getting has to be smart since Nick seems to forever see her as a little girl. It is up to her to show him that she is a woman, and a woman whose been in love with him since she was a little girl. The love scenes are endearing and sweet and when they finally get together, you can't help but give a happy sigh for the love that bloomed from friendship and circumstances.
