Sue Overstreet and Edwina Perkins-Martin believe most problems can be solved
with an ear for gossip, a strong margarita, and a lot of hairspray. As the best
hairdressers in Salt Lick, Texas, they know everything that goes on in their
small West Texas town. As private investigators operating as the Domestic
Equalizers, they're dedicated to tracking down straying men who've done their
women wrong. Paige McBride, on the other hand, believes that most problems can be solved with her oil-rich daddy's credit cards. But when Daddy cuts her off without a penny, she shows up in Salt Lick to do something she'd never thought she'd have to do -- earn a living.
As a horse handler for the Flying C Ranch, she's thrown in the company of the town's new vet, hunky Spur Atwater. When horses start disappearing -- some on Paige's watch -- the Equalizers spring into action. It's time to come to the rescue of not only the horses, but the couple “just made for each other” as well. Though some reputations -- and hearts -- might just get broken, one thing will be sure . . . the hair in town will still look great.
