"Kissing A Stranger"- Here again the great Rococo paintings by Fragonard and Boucher were wonderful references for this cover. It is also noteworthy that they lived in the same historical period as the subjects of this book. In these aristocratic gardens there are often sculptures of mythological subjects, one of which I copied right out of a Boucher painting.

The Proposal (1998)

"The Proposal"-The English garden is a popular setting for romance covers. I got my ideas from the art of that time period. n addition, I relied on photo references and my personal memory of trips to the Cotswold Gardens, north of London. From my observation English gardens have a very natural look.
