But, ironically, she has never liked babies. However, at thirty-nine, a few unplanned events turn Amy's life inside out. She finds a baby abandoned on the doorstep of her store, accidentally runs over her dog, and a couple of her closest friends become pregnant. In a rush of optimism, Amy decides she wants to try for a baby, and she goes after her goal with the same entrepreneurial can-do spirit that's always worked in the past.
